Amazing Superfood Smoothie

Following up on our post about the 8 Amazing Superfoods Your Body Needs, I thought it would be awesome to post a delicious, ridiculously-insane-for-your-health Superfood Smoothie that uses almost all of these phenomenal foods.  Obviously, you don’t have to use each and every one, but if you want to supercharge your health, beauty, and energy, this is one majorly effective way to do it.

The Organic Beauty Amazing Superfood Smoothie

1 cup coconut waterAmazing Superfood Smoothie | The Organic Beauty Blog
1 cup organic baby spinach
1 organic banana (frozen is best!)
1/4 cup organic blueberries
A handful of walnuts
1 tsp maca powder
1 tsp goji berry powder
1 tsp spirulina
1 tbsp chia or hemp seeds
1 tsp bee pollen
A pinch of stevia (optional)

Combine ingredients in blender.

    I recently purchased, spirulina, maca powder, chia seeds, and bee pollen. I put all of them in a smoothie, and my stomach is feeling a little funny. Do I need to incorporate one super food at a time. I only added a teaspoon of each, does my body need time to get used to these products?

      Hi Lauren!
      Thanks for writing! And way to go stocking up on those superfoods! The serving sizes for each of those ingredients may vary — make sure to follow a recipe or the recommended serving size for each ingredient. Depending on what your regular diet is like, it may take a little bit for your system to adjust to the full power of superfoods. You may want to start with a half serving and work your way up.

      On the other hand, your stomach feeling funny could be totally unrelated! Try again tomorrow and see how you feel!
