The perfect oil for all your skin glazing needs

Ok, confession time.  I am a lazy beauty addict.  As in, if a beauty routine is going to take me more than 5 minutes, I’m out.  So when skin glazing hit the world of beauty trends this last year, you know I was first in line to get on board.

For the uninitiated, skin glazing is the ultimate in effortless, lit-from-within, glowing beauty.  And best of all, it doesn’t involve contouring, caking on layer upon layer of makeup, sparkly pearlescent highlighters, or an hour of primping.  It’s basically the anti-makeup.. and guess what? You leave the house looking healthy, glowing, youthful, effortless, and decidedly UN-Kardashian.

Skin glazing is a simple, 2-3 step process:

  1. After cleansing and toning your skin, spritz with a natural face mist

  2. While skin is still wet, mix your moisturizer (preferably one with SPF) with an awesome natural face oil and press firmly onto your skin (don’t rub!)

  3. For added dewiness, add another spritz of your face mist before heading out.

Et voila.  You’re done.  No makeup, no highlighters, just gorgeous, glowing, healthy skin.  Amazing, right?  I haven’t worn a spot of makeup on my face (except for mascara, cuz girl you know I’m never leaving the house without that) in weeks.

The key to this magical formula, however, is a really good face oil.  Since you’re wearing so few products on your face, your face oil should do double (or triple!) duty as a antioxidant serum, anti-aging hydrator, and mega glow-inducer.  Luckily for us all, I’ve found just the thing!

Nature Loves You Moisturizing Rejuvenation Serum is a potent skin elixir that is deeply hydrating, anti-aging, and glow-boosting.  Kind of like a hybrid between a moisturizer and a serum, it has the perfect consistency for daytime and nighttime use, penetrating deep into the layers of the skin with it’s antioxidant and vitamin-rich botanicals.  It’s not too heavy, nor too light, making it perfect for skin glazing.

And I kid you not, the ingredient list reads like a who’s who of healthy skincare.  A few of my personal faves are:

  • Organic hemp oil:  You heard it here first, hemp and other cannabis-derived botanicals are the next big skincare ingredients, and for a good reason.  Hemp oil is loaded with omega-3 and 6 fatty acids, which plump and deeply hydrate skin, acting as humectants, which literally draw more moisture in throughout the day.  Hemp oil also reduces inflammation, fights breakouts, firms and tightens skin, and boost antioxidant activity.
  • Evening primrose oil: This is one of the best oils to fight aging.  It’s anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and super hydrating, making skin soft, supple, and smooth.  As an added bonus, it lightens skin discoloration, reduces redness and acne, diminishes wrinkles, and rejuvenates tired, dull skin.
  • Tamanu oil: This precious oil has been used for ages as a skin rejuvenator, and to combat pretty much every skin ailment, from eczema and breakouts, to wrinkles and scars. It also has UV protectant properties, which actually shield skin from the harmful effects of the sun (but still use sunscreen, please!).
  • Argan oil: No anti-aging skin serum would be complete without this antioxidant powerhouse.  Argan oil promotes healthy collagen and bolsters skin cell membranes. It’s super hydrating and anti-inflammatory, and is loaded with vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids, and so much more goodness.

I’ve been using the serum in my skin glazing routine every morning, and on it’s own at night, and have noticed my skin is already more hydrated, even, and glowing.
