I’m not gonna lie, dressing a baby is pretty much the most fun thing in world. And when that baby is a little adorable chunk monster with pudgy little legs, that pleasure is amplified.
I’ll admit, I had a Pinterest board and Instagram feed teeming with adorable baby style loooooong before I had little M, like, embarrassingly long. And Freshly Picked Moccasins have been topping out my must have baby items for quite some time. These little puppies are durable, made of high quality leather and non-toxic materials, and most importantly, stay on little tiny chubby feet!
We style our cream and gold ones with much of little M’s neutral toned wardrobe, but I have to say, I’ve had my eye on a bunch of other colors as well.
Not only are Freshly Picked moccs the cutest around, they also have an awesome story behind the brand. Made by Susan Peterson, a fellow mom, who was frustrated with the lack of quality baby footwear on the market. Using her baby as a moccasin model, she started experimenting with soft-soled leather shoe designs that looked cute and stayed on her baby’s little feet. She launched her now thriving company on a shoe-string budget, after selling off some aluminum window frames to a scrap yard for a meager $200.
We love a good origin story, and we especially love supporting other fellow mompreneurs.

so sweet! i love the white and gold mocs. i have a little boy, and i’ll admit, i was pretty sad when i found out he wasn’t a girl (simply for the fact that i too had a pinterest board filled with baby stuff but primarily cute baby girl clothing ideas!). he stole my heart immediately though of course ;). but these mocs are just about the cutest shoe option for boy too i think! just the perfect little shoe all around. and i love the start-up story behind it as well 🙂
