It’s a pretty powerful thing when you encounter a beauty line that you are just drawn to, top to bottom. One that you feel great about using and are compelled to share with your friends. That’s how I feel about Grateful Body. From the beautiful packaging, to the story behind the brand, to the ingredient list that reads like a who’s who of organic beauty — this line is for real.
Founder Shannon Schroter first delved into the power of botanicals after both of his sisters died from cancer in their 20’s. He studied Ayurveda, herbalism, Tibetan and Chinese medicine all with the desire to truly understand holistic principles. After work as an herbalist, he launched Grateful Body in 1998 to bring his herbal expertise to the world of skincare. He created a line of fresh, powerful, organic and botanical products that read, smell and work exactly as well as you’d imagine.
There’s a suite of products for every skin type and condition – from aging skin, to oily, inflamed, dry, or sensitive – Grateful has you covered with a step-by-step skincare ritual that leaves your face nourished, glowing and healthy. And seriously, the ingredients are amazing. There is not one element listed on each product that is unnecessary, unnatural, or in any way toxic. You could drink this stuff! (Though I wouldn’t recommend it).
Start with a soothing and nourishing cleanser best suited for your skin type, and follow that with a toner or phytotonic to balance everything out. I’ve been using the nutrient-dense Cloudburst Phytotoxic ($25), which smells absolutely heavenly and leaves my skin hydrated and happy. I follow that with the complexion refining Softening Serum ($40), which I mix with a drop of the Moisture Monsoon ($25) intensive hydration booster — this combination soothes and smoothes my complexion, while leaving it super hydrated (and never oily). Not only is this one-two punch amazing for dry skin (which I’ve been experiencing since the birth of my baby), but it also combats aging, blotchy skin, and redness. A few times a week, after showering, I love using the Super Seed Gel Mask ($40), a leave-on formula that minimizes pores and perfects my complexion.
For eyes, I’ve been using the Essential Eye Creme ($40), which is a lightweight but potent formula that smoothes and hydrates the delicate eye area without irritating.
My skin has been glowing (a full 6 weeks after giving birth), youthful, hydrated, and even… And did I mention that all the products smell absolutely amazing? Grateful Body is the epitome of what holistic skincare should be. But don’t just take my word for it! Try them for yourself!
I’m giving away a trio of Grateful Body products!

This stuff looks amazing! I have really sensitive/rosacea-prone skin, so I think the sensitive cleanser would be great for me. 🙂

Thanks for sharing, I look forward to trying this for my sensitive skin! I also recommend checking out Beausoleil Organics and their new line of skincare products. I am a beauty blogger for this great startup company and they have some wonderful cosmetics!

I’d love to try these, but they’re just a bit too expensive for me… wish I hadn’t missed the giveaway! 🙁
